Welcome to our class page! Here you will find photographs of our wonderful work and news on what we have been learning in Year 3!
In Year 3, we have a class of 34 children - 18 boys and 16 girls. We are the newest members to Upper school but definitely not the quietest. We are all working really hard at using the 4 Rs, so we become resilient, resourceful and reflective learners, who can also use our relationships. We are also developing our independence. In class 3, we all follow Stanhope’s 5 fundamentals, this helps create a positive and fair learning environment, which we learn best in.
Our class teacher is Miss Messom and our teaching assistants are Emma, Toni and Miss Ruth. In the mornings, Emma and Toni help us with our Maths and English and in the afternoons, Emma and Miss Ruth support us with interventions.
We have two pieces of homework every week – our spellings and a Maths skills sheet. Our spelling test is on a Tuesday and Maths homework is due in on Wednesday.
Any questions, queries or if you would like to come in and look through our books or at our lovely displays then please get in touch!
Here are the things that go on regularly in class as well as information on upcoming dates and activities...
- Show and Tell. Please try to only send in things for your child to discuss on these 2 days (as we are encouraging pupils to leave special things at home at other times).
- This is our PE day, however we regularly have opportunities to take part in PE activities throughout the week so please ensure a full, weather appropriate PE kit is in school Monday to Friday.
Spelling test – Please practice as much as possible at home.
Wednesday – Maths homework is due in.
- We always try to balance activities that are beneficial for our health, well-being or communication skills and develop great working relationships. Thank you for your regular contributions that enable us to provide activities that are a bit more special.
