RSHE Curriculum
Throughout the year, children learn Relationships and Health Education (RSHE) as part of their PSHE curriculum.
At Stanhope, this learning is delivered as part of our One Life Personal Development programme offer in school. This programme supports children in developing healthy relationships, emotional literacy, personal identity, and respect for themselves and others. It provides a strong foundation for understanding friendships, families, personal boundaries, and wellbeing.
To ensure that all statutory elements of the RSE curriculum are fully and consistently delivered, we supplement One Life with the nationally recognised Christopher Winter Project (CWP) resources. These materials provide age-appropriate, factual lessons that help children understand growing up, body changes, and personal safety in a clear and sensitive way. Below is an overview of the lesson content.
We will communicate to parents when we are covering our RSE content so that they are aware at home of the language and content we are using in school and can best support their child.
