We believe that every child and young person should have access to enriching activities, and the participation gap in enrichment between disadvantaged young people and their peers should be reduced substantially over time.

We recognise that enrichment is a planned entitlement that should sit within the school’s wider curriculum, personal development, inclusion and attendance strategy. After-school clubs, trips, opportunities to engage in sports events and perform alongside our ONE LIFE personal development programme are all part of our local enrichment offer. 

We want our enrichment offer to fulfil the below ambitions. We promote and track the opportunity and impact of vulnerable groups of pupils in accessing our enrichment offer. 

Children are involved in shaping our enrichment offer through structured voice mechanisms, such as Pupil Parliament, school council, focus groups and feedback after activities.
