There is constant reference to the protected characteristics in our school and expectations are consistently reinforced through explicit teaching, our assembly agenda and restorative discussion where needed. 

We want all children to feel safe, happy and comfortable at Stanhope. We want all children to feel that they are included, they belong and that diversity is celebrated. 

Leaders promote an inclusive, anti-discriminatory culture in which racism and other forms of discriminatory behaviour are recognised, challenged and addressed as part of the setting’s safeguarding responsibilities.

Discriminatory behaviour, including racism, faith-targeted abuse and other prejudice-based incidents, will be recognised, recorded and responded to within the setting’s child-on-child abuse arrangements.
