Homework:
In Year 3 the expectations for homework are that children read a minimum of 4 times a week. Please sign your child's diary to show that they have read and then they will get a homework Dojo. The children have weekly spellings which they are tested on a Wednesday. We are using Times Tables Rockstars to practise Times Tables ready for the Times Tables Check in Year 4.
If you would like your child to complete additional homework then there are some ideas below.
Maths
Times tables - quick recall of facts - 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables
Addition - adding up to 3 digit add 3 digit e.g. 254 + 35 =, 624 + 58 =, 247 + 326 =. The 3 methods we have used are number lines, partitioning and the column method. Photos are below to show you how we use these methods to complete calculations.

Writing - writing stories, diaries of weekend activities/holidays, writing letters and postcards from holidays/trips away.
