Week 4 - Goldilocks and The Three Bears

This week we have enjoyed reading Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

We have done some beautiful paintings of bears! These are hung up in our classroom if you would like to come in and take a look.

We have been doing lots of super writing too! We have been writing our own speech bubbles for Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We have been doing some shape, space and measure; ordering some story characters by their size and measuring them using cubes. In our messy play tray we have been playing and exploring with porridge oats. 

The children have been doing some amazing phonics work too! We now know sounds; s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d and are starting to blend to help us read.

Week 3 - The Three Little Pigs

This week our learning has been based on The Three Little Pigs.

For our writing focus we have been building our name using magnetic letters and practising writing our names independently. 

We have also been making collages of straw, stick and brick houses, playing with pink piggy playdough and retelling the story using props and masks. Some children have enjoyed building houses with the bricks in our building site too.

In maths our magic number has been '0' and we have been doing careful counting too!

We have started our Phonics learning and now know sounds s, a, t, p

Week 2 - Family is Everything

We spent the first week talking about our families and drawing pictures of the special people in our lives.

This half term our topic is 'Traditional Tales'.
