Welcome to Year 4/5!

There are three mixed classes of year 4 and 5 at Stanhope: 4/5K, 4/5M & 4/5W. 

4/5K's class teacher is Miss Kier, 4/5M's is Mr Mac and 4/5W are taught by Mr Williamson. Our teaching assistants are: Charlotte, Miss Lever & Miss Terrill. 

On Wednesdays, Mr Kenney and Mr Woolley take our PE lessons. Children should wear PE kit to school on Wednesdays and Thursdays - when PE is taught by class teachers. Our PE kit comprises of: white t shirt, black shorts (weather permitting), black joggers and black or red sweatshirt. Please do not send your child to school in clothing with logos or slogans nor football kits.

Year 4 are currently taking part in swimming sessions through our local swimming service every Tuesday morning and should bring their swimming kits with them every week. Please ask your child's class teacher for more information about this. 

We send spellings home in spelling books every Friday, which should be learned for our spelling test the following Friday. We are also locked in a continuous battle to see which 4/5 class really is the top of the charts on Times Table Rockstars! For any logins you may need, please contact your child's teacher. 

In the event that your child has to isolate due to Covid-19, and feels well enough, you will find activities set on their Class Dojo portfolios for them to complete at home. If you are unsure, please message your child's class teacher.

We are currently learning about Nottinghamshire and how the mining industry has formed the county we live in today. We will be learning about the rise and fall of the industry in Nottinghamshire: if you or anyone else you know have a story to tell about mining, please get in touch!
