Little Conkers Nursery

Little Conkers Nursery is a happy, relaxed environment allowing children to develop and flourish at their own pace. We believe that play is the most powerful vehicle through which children can learn. We focus our learning with the childrens own interests and this is at the heart of everything we do. This allows exploration of their natural desires to play, create and learn in our nurturing, stimulating environment. Within our setting the children are provided with opportunities to become confident, happy, innovative and imaginative learners. We believe that children should be given the opportunity to communicate their own desires for the setting, provision and learning which helps to build confidence and promote learning.

Staff within the setting demonstrate a respect for differences providing an environment which recognises, respects and values childrens individual needs and beliefs. We view parents and carers as vital supporters of childrens learning and development and we value their role as the childrens first and most enduring educators. We aim to build successful partnerships with parents, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible start to each childs development.

There are three members of staff in Little Conkers Nursery. There is myself, Mrs Jaques, the class teacher and Miss Louisa and Miss Jodie, our wonderful teaching assistants.
